This driver any good?

#1 Post by AntonZ »

I know this is the wrong way around, but being a dutch cheapskate I also hate to turn down a good opportunity. I got offered a pair of Beyma 10G40 drivers. Apparently these are high power 10" drivers. Are these any good for horn loaded subs and/or Simplex 10 as a bass guitar cab? For the latter I have the impression the mid response might drop just a bit too early, from 3K as opposed to 4k for recommended Eminence drivers. They do seem like they can handle quite a lot of abuse. Table tuba LS for the home and T39 to complement my pair of SLA are also still on the wish list.

They'd be fine in a pro sound sub, or in a two way full range crossed over no higher than 2kHz. Fs is too high for Table Tuba.

Thank you Bill, that is bloody fast. I will consider them for T39 or Simplex 10 then, the latter only if built with tweeter.
