Because they're horns, the same or more output with less power, ie increased efficiency.

Do you find the two emboldened phrases mean different things?
Read the first quote more carefully. He said IF horns weren't more sensitive, there would be no reason to build them. The second statement supports the first.

Tomateo, tomarto, tomato, round red fleshy thing you slice up and eat on sandwiches.

I'm not disagreeing, certainly not disagreeing to disagree. I'm not purposefully doing anything other than trying to discuss stuff. I'm just writing it my own way, upside down, in Aussie english.

Why is it simply not enough for me to say I knew next to nothing, or close to nothing, or nothing in particular, about horns, their extra sensitivity, or any of that when i got here.
I certainly didn't know when I got here that sensitivity equals blah blah blah,
The Simplexx line didn't exist, all that was on offer was horns.
The T45, the truck tuba, the smaller SLA's, the Otop8, didn't exist either.

And, I'm at a loss to explain how one line out of each thing I write, gets pulled out (+/- put up in bold) and becomes the focus, compared to everything else I wrote in that post. WTF.

I'm done...
Built:
DR 250: x 2 melded array, 2x CD horn, March 2012 plans.
T39's: 4 x 20" KL3010LF , 2 x 28" 3012LF.
WH8: x 6 with melded array wired series/parallel.
Bunter's Audio and Lighting "like"s would be most appreciated...

Here ya go Seth. I think you'd have a lot to talk about with StyroPyro, the laser boy genius. He does go on a bit long with the cooking jokes, but his understanding of electronics and chemistry is admirable. No, DON'T try this yourself at home.

Alright... without googling, who can come up with the line following this... I bet you can't without cheating LOL :D

"It's raining inside a big brown moon. How does that mess you, baby up leg"...

Even if you cheat... glad you got to rock out to a rare classic.

Glad you got to rock out to a (new to you) rare classic Tom. I came across this song about 5 years ago in a search for some groovy 60's tunes. I hadn't heard it either and was surprised I hadn't. It totally deserves more air time/attention.

You're welcome :D
