Thanks, Seth. I put the hardware and grills in today. They're looking very sweet. The first time I use these at a gig the patrons are gonna shudder at how mean they look. :!: I can't wait for another local band to ask, "WTH are those? And why are they so AWESOME?!"

That's how it goes in my head anyway.

First they will ask, "Those 18s?" No.... "15s" No...... at that point they are totally confused because they can't even imagine a 12 in a sub.....most likely they'll say, "21s???"

That's when you just grin and tell 'em the truth....

They: "Wow man. That's unbelievable. Like, how many watts?"

Bryan: "About 1200"

They: "Okay. I suppose that makes more sense then. 1200 watts each, 4800 total. Sounds really good man"

Bryan: ...

You're welcome.

I took a screen shot before you edited it. Do you want me to post it for context...?

Seems traditional model airplane cement has gone the way of model airplanes. I remember drooling over them as a kid every time we went to the local drug store, which had a little section of model cars and airplanes. Bought a few over the years. NEVER actually finished one. So anyways, I was looking at possible substitutes for model cement and came across a few interesting options for gluing up piezo array's.

First up, and most interesting IMO, Starbond KBL-500 Black Medium Thick, Premium Rubber Toughened CA Glue... Black super glue with impact and shock absorbance qualities. Sounds ideal.
https://smile.amazon.com/Starbond-KBL-5 ... B00BUVAVC0

3M Scotch-Weld Plastic & Rubber Instant Adhesive PR100, Clear... there's a primer that can be used in combination with the glue which enhances the bond with difficult to bond plastics
Glue https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B071JC9RP7/ ... GUGNNI9JV3
Primer https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B071JC9PYP/ ... 4XG9V2MX7H

Loctite has a similar product, 2 component "activator" and glue. Very reasonable price.
https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B000Y3LHXW/ ... RN5M53XCYM

JB Weld Plastic Bonder... looks like a more traditional 2 part epoxy kinda product
https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B01IBOK7FE/ ... 12WPW3XD9K

What have you guys used? Any recommendations, or recommend to avoid?

I tried testors model cement when I put together my piezo arrays. Utter failure (like a cow jumping over a barbed wire fence...or is that an udder failure?) Ended up using PVC pipe cement, thickened up with my tweeter cutoffs just like Bill said in the plans, and it worked well. I put on an extra gloppy coat and laid in some of the long cutoff pieces on the backside which yielded a really rigid array. I think there may be a picture in my build thread somewhere.
2xT30 (20", 3012LF)
2xT30 (21", 3012LF)
4xOtop J-array (Beta12, melded/straight piezos)
Truck Tuba (MCM)
Next up: 2xJack12 or family of table tubas

Heck, that's handy. Have you used it? Any comments on it's handling? Set up time, finish appearance, sand-ability?

Happens all the time, man. No worries.

BTW, they're gonna really crap themselves when they find out I'm running all four subs on ONE 450 watt @ 8 ohm amp.

What amp make/model are you going to use?
