Cutlist plugin for Sketchup question.

#1 Post by bjm362 »

Is anyone familiar with this plaugin for Sketchup?

http://sketchupplugins.com/plugins/cutlist/

If install this plugin for Sketchup is this going to be able to create a cutlist from the Sketchup images?
Some of the Sketchup files show multiple images as Bill provided multiple options in the plans, will I just pick out the image that represents the option I am rolling with?

Note: For those that remember me, it took a long period of re-studying things to get to where I am with this idea. I bought my plans September of 2014. I have studied them thoroughly!!!

But I still may need some help with a cutlist!!!

I am currently planning to start with a pair of O-top 15s.

At least in my (older) plans there is already a cutlist!
For both 5 x 5 and 8 x 4 stock.
And rough sizing cutlist dimensions.
At the end of the plans.

Is that the case with your plans?
Built:
DR 250: x 2 melded array, 2x CD horn, March 2012 plans.
T39's: 4 x 20" KL3010LF , 2 x 28" 3012LF.
WH8: x 6 with melded array wired series/parallel.
Bunter's Audio and Lighting "like"s would be most appreciated...

Grant, glad you are still around, and yes that is the case with my plans. I was looking for something a little more specific on the parts. Maybe I just need to take the plan with me....

Do you mean when you're building your cabs?
If so, absolutely, have your plans with you.
They are a source of constant reference, from one step to the next...

I was thinking I would have someone else cut the parts for me. I was trying to see if I get someone locally to do something similar to a "Flat PacK.

Just for side conversation, I still really want to do 6 or 8 O-Top 12 J-array cabs, but honestly 2 to 4 O-Top 15s should help open up a few more doors for me now or in the coming months....

You can only have them pre-cut to rough size.
