Been a little preoccupied

#1 Post by LelandCrooks »

About 3 weeks ago my dad fell ill. He's just turned 91. As It does, things just kind of cascaded. We are waiting for the end, as he instructed me 10 days ago. "stop, turn it all off, I'm done" he told me.

So here's a video my nephew made I thought I would share. The house you see in it he built in the 50's. Dad is in his late 70's in this video. I will miss him, but it's time. A good life well lived.

Indeed, it was a blessing that he lived as long and as well as he did. My condolences.

Great video, and I'm very sad for you and everyone that knows him. But late 70's and on the house throwing parachutes??? Awesome -- I hope I will be doing that at the same age! Seems like a really great guy and I think I feel a bit of what you are feeling. My condolences as well.

That must have been real tough to hear your Dad say those words Leland, but it seems he would never had done it any other way - he was that sort of guy.

I consider it a real privilege that I met him back in 2007. Visiting you and your Dad and working in his workshop for a day is something I will always treasure.

Sorry for your's and your family's loss, Leland. I can't even bear the thought of my father passing, but we'll all have our day.

+1 to all that has been said by the others, Leland.

I can't imagine the day I will have to face the same reality.

Thinking of you in our prayers.

I don't think I'll be able to pick up a hammer at age 90 let alone build a garage. Impressive.
Love the video.
