TRS-male XLR

Can it be done?
and still have it Balanced?

I made three to go from main signal out of mixer to the various compnents.

I did (2) on XLR - tip
(1) on xlr - sleeve
(3) on xlr - ring
correct?

My little Behringer ct100 has it lit up like

XXO
XOX
OXX

O being lights.
X not lit up

That is the correct wiring.....of course it's only going to balanced if you plug it into a balanced input. But, it will still work with unbalanced.

Looks like I did it right, we'll see this Sat when I hook it up.

Also the guitarist needs a replacement 50.00 cord that is 24" long that goes to his wireless. I told him that I would make him one or repair the one that seems to give him trouble.

What could be wrong with a brand new (fairly new) cord? That goes from his battery pack (1/8") TRS to his guitar (1/4") instrument?

Probably the 1/8" plug. IME professional quality 1/8" plugs/jacks don't exist. Most 1/4" TRS are crap too, I'll only use Switchcraft or Neutrik.

mini plugs and jacks stink....that said, are you sure there is actually something wrong with the cord? Get you a can of DeoxIt D5 and spray the jack and plug. It's great stuff to keep in your gig bag. It cleans all kinds of connection, pots, etc. When in doubt - squirt it!

If the cord is truly trashed, you can build one but it ain't easy soldering mini plugs.
