I just learned about the supertonic https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tR32h5j ... QpFEJRk2Zw
I, also, learned that "The Weekend" has a number of songs that have the same melody (it's in the video).
I found the video interesting......however, I have never heard a single song that he played.....

6 - T39 4-25" 2-22" 3012LF
4 - OT12 2512 Melded/NSD2005
1 - T24
2 - XF210

Unfortunately, the second lesson was - new music really sucks. Its only redeeming value is that it has made disco more palatable on the suckiness scale.

DANG you guys! If it stays this slow around here, I'm just going to have to take matters into my own hands and complete the four 30" T39's I have sitting here in piles of pre cut plywood panels. :cussing:

Hey Bill, I had a random curiosity. The splay angles that the DR's are designed with, I noticed they're all different. Is that angle chosen based on how they stack, to create a particular curve for a certain stack height? Or, does it have something to do with creating the horn flare (not sure if that's the correct term) to attain the desired response? Or... something completely different?

It is probably to create the correct mouth area in relation to the throat.
Built:
6xDR200, 2xT39, 2xT48, 2xJack110, 1xOmni10.5, 1xAutotuba, 1xT18, 1xSLA Pro, 1xW8, 1xW10

I though it may also have something to do with that whole parallel surfaces anomaly thing too. Dunno. Oh well.

Do I recall correctly that you put two DR200's together in about 12 hours start to finish?

12 hours Start to finish Dr200????

Well, call me impressed!
I'd love to see a time laps of that! :)

When I build some DRs its more like 12 days, not hours!
Authorized Builder - Phoenix AZ.
Main Rig - 6 DR200s - 6 T48s (30")
SLA Pros for the smaller stuff.

Are any of you guys following Wintergaten - Martin Molen's build series of the MMX (Marble Machine X) on YouTube? It's absolutely incredible from so many aspects. Engineering, woodworking, personal development, overcoming obstacles, organization, and more.

It's a build series of the new and improved version of this:

Two 2x6 shorty SLA Pro's
One 16" T39, 3012LF loaded
20" Tall AutoTuba loaded with 2 8" MCM 55-2421
8½" TruckTuba loaded with 2 8" MCM 55-2421

I check in on occasion, but because he keeps ripping it apart for the 58th time, I don't watch all the videos...I'm more of a 'check in every quarter and see what he's tearing apart now' kind of viewer...If/when he completes it, it will be absolutely incredible/insane!
Built:
4 Jack 112L- 3012HO, melded array
17.5 wide AutoTuba with Infinity 860w
6 Wedgehorn W6 w/ Panel Mount Piezos
2 T48 Slims (15" wide) with 3012LF
4 T48 Fattys (32" wide) with 3015LF

I look forward to Wednesday's for every update. They're not always enthralling and sometimes I'll stop one early if it's not holding my interest. But, I find it to be quality entertainment 95+% of the time.
