I am planning on running a total of 8 Titan 48's.
I will go 4 Titan's (parallel wiring) per channel on my QSC RMX5050.
Plans state that each box is 10 ohms.
So 4 boxes = 2.5 ohm load.
My Tians are 30" wide and are loaded with the 4015LF driver. I only plan on pushing 250 watts per box.
So total per channel in wattage is 1000 watts.
I know my amp is capable of this in stereo mode or dual mono.
Any dangers of my setup or math? My crossovers are HPF 35Hz LR 24/db and LPF 90Hz LR 24/db (Driverack).
Check my math for my T48 amp please.....

Running that much power (limit at 50 volts) you should be fine. With that many cabs I'd limit at 40 volts and see how it goes, it should be pretty outrageous.

Personally, I'd run two lighter weight amps with two Titans per channel. But that's me. I'll consider running an overspec'd 4ohm load, but not anything near 2ohms given the calcs we've seen around here on life expectancy at 2ohm loads vs 4ohm and 8ohm. 2 amps with plenty of power could also possibly run the entire herd if one fails. If one amp dies and it's your only sub amp, you better hope a local music store is open and not far away.

+1
It will snow in Hell before I do that to any of my amps.

My biggest worry is that when I'm dead and gone, my wife will sell my toys for what I said I paid for them.

The way I see it, 2ish ohm loads are ok in a pinch, but I wouldn't design around it.
I'd also say that a pair of 4015LF per channel of a RMX 5050 is a decent fit.. 4 is probably too many.
Why buy the 4015 driver if you're peaking at 450w?

The 4015LF is displacement limited to 450 watts, so it's not a bad match. But so is the 3015LF, which weighs half as much and is less expensive as well.Adam Schaible wrote: Why buy the 4015 driver if you're peaking at 450w?

I run 8 27" Titans with 3015fl's, 2 on each ch. of a QSC 2450 with out any problems. They have a problem keeping up my 12 OT112's when placement for the subs is a problem.

Paul,
Have you got any pictures of that rig? If so, could you post them in a new thread?
Thanks.
