I feel silly for asking cuz I should know the answer...
My Peavey amps have this Soft Protection System, that is supposed to reduce power before a clip. Anyway I measured it and the light comes on before a clip and I just keep an eye on that to make sure I stay out of that area. ( and yes I have my limiters set on the DBX to, so we’re safe )
Why does the light come on at the same level on the board, regardless if I’m running one or two T45s per channel? Is that because the amp puts out the same voltage regardless of the load. ( ok I mean the specified load, 4 or 8 ohm) ?

Re: Amplifier output and load question
The light/protection is triggered by the output voltage, which is constant into any load.
