I have an amp rack with one DCX 2496 and two (2) 4-1300! :noob:
The amps are performing well, and are easy to handle. I have never been in shortage of power in my set ups with very different speakers to feed.
Surely there are some who will claim that more expensive amps will give you better sound, and I could not argue against that... But when comparing price/weight/output, I think have the best set up! In an A/B listening test, there could be small differences. But when the lights are flashing, bass is pounding and the crowd is dancing, I think very few will be able to tell one amp from the other...
More bass, more bass! :chainsaw: :chainsaw:

In blind testing one cannot tell amps with similar specs apart. Higher price doesn't necessarily mean better specs, so once you reach the point of diminishing returns you might spend a hundred times as much with nothing to show for it except less $$$ in your bank account.

I have read a lot, thought things over, compared so many amps and options of old vs new, the TSA4-700 is also on my list but I think I go with the Behringer Inuke nu4 6000, which does 4x440W@8Ohm, and 4x1100W@2Ohm and can go as low a 1.33Ohm, 11lbs and damn cheap. It is basicly 2 inukes 3000 in 1 2u case and the normal 6000 is 2x3000 in bridge.....
That is for sub and mid drivers, for the piezo's I need a few much smaller amps.

I own a few Behringer amps, but please don't take the wattage ratings at face value.

The iNuke NU6000 (https://youtu.be/73Z2fNcGGDI?t=134)
  • 2x1248W RMS into 8 ohms (78% of rated 1600W)
    2x2011W RMS into 4 ohms (67% of rated 3000W)

The iNuke NU1000(https://youtu.be/Ibsvu1xownw?t=182)
  • 2x121W RMS into 8 ohms (81% of expected 150W)
    2x209W RMS into 4 ohms (70% of rated 300W)
    2x303W RMS into 2 ohms (61% of rated 500W)
    2x332W RMS into 1.6 ohms
2x441W into 1.33 ohms (burst test)
    1x639W RMS into 4 ohms (64% of rated 1000W)
He hasn't tested the NU4 6000 or the NU3000, but given the amps run at about 80% of their rated wattage, I'd anticipate them to run ~350x4 into 8 ohms.

And of course, you need to double wattage to get 3 decibels, so these won't result in gigantic SPL discrepancies. Just don't bank on the iNukes working as advertised. =)

I don't as you have read. :)

The 4 channels are a must have for me, and if you buy 2, it gives options for powershading etc. And if 1 amp totally craps out :horse: (which can happen with every amp!!!) , half of the tops and subs keep on playing and I can connect all tops and subs parrallel (no need for an interuption/silence and even when I'm running @4Ohm=>2Ohm ) to the still living amp and can run fine to the end on 1 amp.
