build a voltmeter into plate amp

#1 Post by thommio »

So i recently bought a 300W plate amp for my TableTuba and i am going to build it into a wooden case. My question is: Can i build-in an analoge voltmeter directly parallel to the speaker output?

Voltmeter:

Amplifier:

Why not, however you will need an AC volt meter. The meter you listed is DC.
Built:
17" width 10" driver Autotuba
2 x 29" width dual Lab12 Tuba60
6 x DR250 2510/asd1001
In progress:
2 x DR250 2510/asd1001
For best results, point the loud end of the array towards the audience

And why should i use that instead of just buying an AC voltmeter and connect it parallel to the speaker output?
