#1 Post by djtrumptight »

If i plug one 8 ohm speaker into an amp via banana plug then plug another 8 ohm loaded speaker banana plug into the first banana plug would that produce a 4 ohm parallel load ?

And if you add at least one more banana, it will be a bunch louder.

Yeah but wouldnt that be a 2 ohm load ? I'm gonna put 2 DR 250's on 1 channel and 2 T-39's on the other channel for a 4 ohm load on both sides.

Thanks fella's.

Yep, not understanding banana puns can lead to a slippery slope.

Just for the record it would give you a 2.67 ohm load if you added a third 8 ohm speaker. 4 speakers would give you 2 ohms. Simple math is ohms (all speakers being the same) divided by number of speakers. So with 8 ohm cabinets 2 is 4, 3 is 2.67, 4 is 2, and 5 or more is a smoldering amplifier.

Time to play some Bananarama. Hottest chicks of '80's music other than Suzanna Hoffs (The Bangles).

That's a trick question......

There was no music in the 80s.
