Caveat:
Cross your subs higher than 100Hz if the rest of the system doesn't keep up.
One of the main advantages of crossing 100Hz and below is that the sub cabs become omnidirectional. So you can run a stack of subs in the corner and it doesn't appear that's where your LF is coming from...

Re: Elder Audio Beta3 Amps
You can run BR boxes way over 100 to cover low mid, but folded horns tend to sound "honky" when played higher. A good bandpass horn design with a single fold like the http://hornplans.free.fr/turbo_bph238.html will kick like a mule and cover 70-180 nicely.Armchair Pirate wrote:Really? Duel 12" T60 cabs no higher then 100hz? there is so much life between 100-160 hz though....* I do mostly EDM music.
Life is just a game, don't take it to seriously!
Re: Elder Audio Beta3 Amps
there may be a lot of life above 100, but your tops should still be capable of covering it, not your subs. 24 db slope at 27 to 30 hipass, or 48 at 25. no higher than 24 db slope on the lopass imo.
just because there is output up above 100 hz doesnt mean its a good idea to use it. since it IS a range that tops can cover, its best to dedicate your massive sub boxes to.... well, sub bass. asking them to produce 4 full octaves is pushing it imo.
