O Audio Bash 500

#1 Post by gilscales »

Is this boost in the lower frequencies a problem for the THT with the Dayton DVC?, I don't suspect I will ever need but a small fraction of the output from the THT after reading Myn's build thread, I don't think it will ever be pushed hard even in DEMO mode!

I would defeat it. While there may be content down there you can't hear it, so it's just a waste of power boosting down there.

From what I read on some HT forums it cannot be defeated, as long as I don't need all that power (430 watts into 4 ohms) then it won't be a problem will it?

It certainly should be, 10dB of boost turns a 40 watt draw into a 400 watt draw. Frankly I can't see its purpose. I'd investigate with the manufacturer.
