table tuba question

#1 Post by himhimself »

Will a small TT play nice with a regular TT in the same room? I have a lobster trap made into a table that is just a little too small to hide a regular TT inside...

Since the horns are different lengths their phase response as well as frequency response isn't the same. It's a crap shoot.

Thanks Bill. Not much of a gambler, so probably won't chance it and just build two small TTs. I'm assuming mixing widths is okay, correct? The one going in the trap will obviously be constrained, but i could build the second at max width.

Width affects sensitivity in the lows, but not extension or phase response, so mixing there is OK.
