Tuba HT (THT) with Dayton RSS390HF-4 - limiting max output voltage from amp?

#1 Post by arbor » Thu Aug 31, 2017 4:34 pm

Hi all,

What is the max output voltage I should set in the limiter on my DSP amp for a THT 36x36x30 with RSS390HF driver?

Thanks,
Dan

square root (watts x ohms) = voltage

I would set it a few volts below the above number so you don't blow it up
BFM builds:
XF212
T24 BP102 24"
2x SLA's 6-5" mids, 9-gt-302's
2x AT 14" MCM 55-2421
TrT 5" MCM 55-2421
AT 18" JBL GTO804
OT12 flat array

35 volts would be safe, and very loud.
