THT suitability outdoors

#1 Post by djamps » Fri Jul 07, 2017 11:17 am

Hi all,

I'm considering a 24" THT for my HT and would love if it could serve dual purpose.

I'm wondering if it would be any good at supplimenting a set of mackie SRM450V2's in an outdoor environment. The mackie's are loud and clear but drop off significantly around 60hz.

I'm not talking paid events... just me and friend's BBQ/pool parties, 30-50 people in your average sized back yard with live DJ mixing.

It would be OK in that setting. It's not recommended for pro use as it trades off sensitivity and high output for low frequency extension.

Glad to hear. Don't need super loud as neigbors already (thankfully) put up with the tops blaring...low end extension would be a nice tradeoff.
