For livingroom sound better than in a theatre.

I've never measured or calculated it. Louder than I need. 8)

People are asking so I was curious. HT is 105 dB peak at the seats so I am fine. I use maybe 5 watts.

It might get to 115dB/1m before running out of xmax below 200Hz or so. Above that 120dB is a safe bet.

I figured around 120 based on the drivers.

So I watched a movie in two channel and the TLAH sound great. The soundstage is enormous and bigger than one would think. They are more detailed than the berries and more forward. They are actually smoother as well, hard to explain. Basically you hear all the detail but never harsh. I still have not figured out reference yet but I won't until I get my next order from Leland! I can tell already with their giant sound, detail and smoothness(lack of fatigue or harshness) these will be 1 for me. I won't be able to know until I check out the midbass and dynamics from my movies. They are without a doubt my best musical speakers for my room.

 and you built them
I know what you mean by the smoothness. For me the louder I turn them up the clearer it becomes. Never once at my house have we ever complained of any harshness.
We use ours everytime we turn the tv (Element) on due to the tv having the suckiest speakers ever. :bash:
Drumming is a way of life.

I think I need to build some of those, my floorstanders are ok and plenty loud but I'd prefer something BFM to go with the TTLS I have in there
4xOT12s, 2xT39s@22", TTLS@18", 2xT60@18"

To me it is a nice change from the CD/horn combos as it gives that dome sound.

Well, you cut the holes and Leland made the crossovers.

I do prefer a slightly softer sound, my ears are somewhat sensitive at the upper end still.

It still gets loud but when I was playing them loud my wife commented how they did not hurt her ears. My 10 year old daughter told me to turn it down as it was too loud but it did not sound bad.

Harshness comes from THD, THD rises with excursion. With so many elements the excursion is very low, so is THD.
