I do need some help with the auto EQ though. With the subs on the auto EQ took too much out, but .
The driverack offers different EQ "curves". If you are using the "flat" one - it will sound woofy with too little bottom. Use the "band" curve. Bump on the bottom end and a cut in the low mids - more musical.

Not sure what you mean by.....with the subs muted, it was almost too much EQ on the low end

If you were trying to auto EQ with the subs off - of course it will boost the crap out of the low end trying to get those frequencies into the mix.

Sorry, yes that's what I ended up doing.
I was using the DJ curve, but didn't have enough low end. I know that I can go in there and adjust afterwards, but wanted to make sure I'm measuring correctly in the first place.
I see that the DBX forum pages have some good how to's.

Stay away from the Auto Setup....just use the Auto EQ. You can always just turn up the gain inside the driverack to get the balance of Tops to Subs closer before running the Auto EQ. Do you have enough T24s to keep up with the DRs?

Well, I have four T24a and four DR200's. My master plan is to sell them off and build some T45's.
I set up everything manually, and only did the auto EQ.
From reading some of the notes on the DBX pages, I believe that I could a better job in mic placement and going back in to smooth out the low end manually.

No way 4 T24s are keeping up with 4 DR200s. So, you really need to do some balancing inside the driverack - either turn down the gain on the DRs or up the subs. This is done in the crossover section where you set the crossover points.

Ya I always keep the DRs turned down, did the same thing with my old Peavey CEX's.
I believe that all I need to do now is go back and smooth out the EQ for the subs.
The auto EQ for the dr's sounded awesome!
