I have been using a peavey 215eq, and two peavey cex-L4a's.
I have been running a tri amp set up with my dr200s and T24s.
One of the cex's has gone bad. I have replaced the battery and done a reset, no bueño.

Im looking at used driverack pa's on eBay, but am open to any budget minded suggestions.
Was even looking at two 3 way mono xovers, but most of them do not have a high pass filter on the low channel.

Thank you for any and all suggestions.

Buy the driverack. If you are going three-way, then it has to be a PA, PA+, or PA2. The PX is 2-way.

If you can find a PA+, get it over the PA. It's Auto-EQ is faster. But, the PA is just fine if that's all you can find at a good price.

You won't be disappointed.

Even an older used one?
I'm all of the sudden Leary about units with back up batteries, I only use the system a hand full of times a year, but its usually a pretty good sized crowd.
Is it best to leave them plugged in when in storage.

The Driveracks do NOT have a battery. They use flash memory. That started with the PA series way back around 2004 when they came out.

So, buy whatever you can and don't worry.....

Oooo fantastic!
Plus this will be a good excuse to minimize my rack. Three boxes in one!

You'll like it.....I've got three of 'em....if I had room in my rack, I'd add one more for my 5th and 6th monitor sends.

The PA2 is a significant upgrade in functionality and sound quality. It's well worth the price.

Last night was went great! The kids loved my new (used) ADJ pocket scan lights.
I ran everything in mono and it sounded fine, but one of my CD players gave me issues :chainsaw: :chainsaw: :cussing: :cussing:

Guess I'll be doing several upgrades ....

Just received my new Drive rack PA+ and am excited to get it going.
I have read through the manual and have done a custom setting with crossover points appropriate for the Dr200's and T24's.
Now I am ready to go through the gain settings, but I have seen conflicting reports that maybe I should not do the auto set up with the BFM rig?
Any suggestions for set up, other than what the manual suggests?
(of course I'll measure the output, to make sure I'm not over the recommended voltage)

I never use the auto setup. I will have you turning amps up and down to level out the system - something you just flat shouldn't do.

Use a custom setup, then use the auto EQ to finish it off. If there are too many cuts or boosts above or below your crossover points, then adjust the gains in the crossover section until it's closer, then run the auto EQ again.

Over easy will fry your eggs. Seriously though don't use it. Does the Pa+ have wireless like the PA2 and VENU? Between the PA2 and my new Behringer X18 mixer being able to move about and do FOH stuff, I'll NEVER EVER GO BACK.

No, no wireless option.
I knew that, going into it, all my gear is local and for mobile DJ use. I was able to find this PA + still new in the box, from a dbx dealer, for a really good price, so really OK with not having all the bells and whistles.

Just used the drive rack PA + last night, sounded awesome! My DR200s have never sounded so smooth!
I do need some help with the auto EQ though. With the subs on the auto EQ took too much out, but with the subs muted, it was almost too much EQ on the low end.
