FS and Qts for a TLAHPro

#1 Post by Tom Smit »

I have often wondered if a driver, that I have in mind, would work good in such a cabinet, However, the Qts is around 0.3 whereas the Alpha8A is around 0.6, which is around the same spec for the Home TLAH. Also, the Fs is around 40 Hz for the driver that I was considering, and I was wondering how that would affect the performance. And, yes, I know this is going off reservation, gulp. I looked around on the internet for answers but the TLAH doesn't follow all the same rules as somewhat similar cabinets do, and, therefore, I am asking for explanations. :conf:

Lower Qts along with lower Fs tend to cancel each other out, so they may work OK.
