S15 Ska Edition.

Hi everyone,
Here is a little wright up and a few pictures of my latest project.
I had a pair of 15" drivers given to me a while back and they have just been sitting in storage. I couldn't find any official specs on them, but figured they would do ok in a simplexx. (Qsc K152 replacement drives)
Having never built the simplexx 15, it was refreshingly "simple" compared to the Jack plans. And I was quite happy to find you can build one out of a single 5×5 sheet of ply and hardy took the weekend from start to finish. I had to wait on some grill cloth material to ship, but the actual construction and painting went by quick.
On the first one, I went with the traditional black and silver look. (Classic and timeless) Then, after deciding that the driver worked well enough to keep it that way, I started on the second. (Had two driver just sitting around) - read - "should still use recommended drivers"
Esthetically, having two matching cab stacked together is great, but thinking I'd probably never use them like that. I decided to go a different direction with the second S15.
I have always like SKA music and have been listening to a lot of it again over "break".
I also had some leftover white Duratex from another project so I figured this would be a great opportunity to have some fun!
I really had a great time putting these together and although I don't know what to do with them just yet, they sound great in my living room!
Thanks,
Kevin.
