T-39/SLA Pro build

#1 Post by djtrumptight »

This is a short video of the fine tuning of a system i recently built for a DJ.A few days ago i posted that the SLA Pro's appeared to be running away from the subs and they were. The first thing i had wrong was the DCX 2496 set up,im running mono and should have only had a signal going to channel A,i had a signal going into channel A and B.I also changed all the filters from LR's TO BW's and last but not least,i hooked up 1 sub, then the other and the sound got lower, thats not good.Tried different cables, same effect.Opened up the jack plate on one (made sure the polarity on DCX 2496 was in normal mode),switched the negative and positive jacks on the speakons and that fixed the problem (neg. and pos. wires going to the driver are reversed) :wall: :wall: :wall: .After that, rechecked voltage limits, made minor adjustments to filters as the DJ was playing music, then some guy came into the backyard,we turned the music down to hear ,him.He said he lived on the next block and the music was too loud,he couldn't "think",i never heard a complaint like that before about music. At that point the DJ turned everything off and started wrapping up,he said that was all he needed to hear to know that he had made a wise purchase. :hyper: Sorry about the wobbly video and low volume,i was using a cheap digital camera.

The volt meter is reading the actual voltage going into the subs.

Nice man!

Youtube will always recommend that they "smooth" the video for you because it seems shaky......DON'T DO IT.

Keep it normal.
