SLA PRO mini's

#1 Post by spoogin »

Heres a short vid of my SLAP PRO mini's I made for my basement. its not to long because I had friends on the way over. They sound a bit bright on the video but not bad at all in person. Also the bass is from my THT thats under the staircase. I have the volume down a few notches on the sub otherwise it would distort the mic pretty bad. cheap mic i guess. I would post a vid of the THT but with a cheap mic, it would be pointless. lol

Nice vid.

SLA's sound good from what I can tell, with my desktop speakers.

I really like the lighting in the room and table. Maybe you could buy better beer though. PBR
2x T39, 1x T60, 1x THTLP, 1x AT(not built by me) 6x DR250
I need more bass

But this gal's built like a burlap bag full of bobcats

awww shame on you. Miller Lite for life!! and your're right, the vid will only sound as good as the speakers the person is watching it on are, but they are some nice sounding speakers. I was very surprised and happy when I first heard them.

What kind of SPL can you get with your THT (listening position)? I'm hoping to build a THTLP this summer and I'm excited to hear about everyone's experience with the THT. Not to mention, I would like to build mini's like yours. Any advice/suggestions regarding the transition from full sla pro's to half stacks? I was thinking I could buy a single kit from Leland and split it into two speakers, would this work?
Built
2 x TLAH
1 Titan 39 (lab 12, 15 inch)
1 Tuba 60 (lab 12, 20 inch)
SLA Center
2 x Mini MLTP subwoofers
1 x 212 TH (custom)
2 x Mini-Karlsonators
Owned, but not built
2 x Jack 12 (2512, melded)
