Update: Rehearsed (for the first time since October) with my acoustic group.

Jack10 LT performed flawlessly. I usually rehearse with that group using a powered 10inch PA speaker (cause that's what's there)

My Jack 10 sounds much better than the powered 10. We rehearse un mic'd so I was playing quite conservatively. Still fit nicely in the mix.

All set now with my grab n go rig. Thanks for all your interest, feedback and comments. Nice community here.

Will cabinet orientation affect sound dispersion or tone ?

Glad I clicked on this link. I am down to finishing touches on my J12 L and concerned about routing the corners to fit the small chevron. I feel I have to radius the corner so much that I will compromise the integrity of the box. Mind you I havnt matched up the box to the chevron yet, but looking at the chevron, it just looks so large. Anyway, after seeing your pic, I really don't think I need to worry about taking so much meat out of the corners.

I can't wait to finish up the build so I can take it out for a test drive with my Traynor YBA.

You should take some pictures and create yourself a build thread. We just can't get enough of build threads! It makes us all feel that we are building cabs again :)

When I built my otop jarrays (same 1/4" ply construction), I glued strips on the inside of the edges to ensure plenty of structural strength post-roundover. Quarter-round would work equally well. Probably would have been okay without, but I felt better with the extra meat there. I didn't use corners due to the cab angles, so may have used a little smaller roundover radius too - can't recall right now...

I'm brand new to BFM, and this forum. Thanks for the great information. I'm a seasoned bass player, but my teenaged daughter is picking it up. However, she doesn't like carrying my 35 lb cheap keyboard amp. I'm was considering the Trace Elliot Elf combo for her, but am feeling inspired to build a Jack 10 Lite like yours, and get her a small class D amp. I have no idea what volumes this cab can produce, but think it would handle her needs. Thanks for sharing your build!
