Being the sentimental type myself, the dedication is highly respected.

Little more progress today in a couple unique ways....

Got all the 1st pass cuts on the interior panels for Cab #1 complete using the MFT cross-cut jig. The jig has a lot more parts to initially assemble and square up than the guide dogs, but once in place, is subsequently less fuss. Working out very similar to a radial arm saw from that point forward.

That, and the wife has taken a keen interest in helping out during this build. Even had her operate the circular saw a couple times, which she had never done before. :hyper:

Question for Bill,

I'm laying out the throat openings/cutouts for the HL10C drivers on the baffles, and will be making sawdust in that regard soon. :chainsaw: Knowing what you know now over these past years, are there any tweaks to the original baffle cutout design that'd you employ to squeak out any extra dB with specifically with these drivers at 14" wide, or is what's on my plans (dated 2011) as "good as it's gonna get" for these bad boys?

I'm aware of the driver chamber reduction option, but this question is in regard to the shape, size, and location of the throat entry cutout. Thank you in advance.

I believe the last major revision was in 2012, so you should order an update.

Went back and looked at all the pics. I didn't see any footstools. :)

Couldn't hurt to try re-framing that as "..to build HER speakers." A drill press is awfully handy.

I did exactly that, she always want's things built. Funny she was willing to drive an hour to buy a used Jet bandsaw that was a decent price.

Several years ago....(decades?), my wife was buying me tools for birthdays, Christmas, Ground Hog Day......

Of course, it was always to better build a project that she wanted. It was a win - win.

As the years went by, she started taking my tools to work on school proms, church plays, etc. I finally had to get her a tool bucket filled with hand tools and then sprung for her own drill/driver - just to keep my stuff where it belonged.

But, it's pretty cool to have a wife who can grab a circular saw and get after it.

Lucky man. If I asked my wife to use ANY saw, this is the response I'd get...

OTOH, she does buy me a lot of tools. But back to business: I'm very interested in watching this build unfold. And you're right, those drivers look bad a**!
