Just a DR200 build questions.
I'm building 2 x tuba30's and 2xDR200's. Keeping a 1:1 ratio.
i have searched the forum for info on the tuning options on the DR200's. In particular the port sizes.
Assuming i want to crossover below 135hz (someone can tell me where the sweet spot is between the DR's and the Tuba), i'll be using the 2"x1/4" option.
I'm a bit confused.
on page 19 it mentions "The hole diameter depends on your duct configuration, which is covered later in the plans (Tuning Options)"
but by page 35 it says "Make the ducts from 2” ID Schedule 40 PVC pipe."
my first interpretation was that it was going to be a 1/4" duct 2" long but from later now i'm thinking it's a 2"duct 1/4"long.
I know it's probably plain but for some reason my head is not letting it be.
Any thoughts on that (not my head)..........
Cheers

Re: Tuning options DR200's
The port width is always 2 inches. (2" PVC) the length of the pipe is what changes. (Longer = lower tuning)
I'd go with the 2"×1/4" for the 80Hz tuning especially since you have subs.
Generally speaking 100-120Hz is a good Crossover point to start with the DR200s.

Re: Tuning options DR200's
And the hole diameter depending on your duct configuration refers to whether you choose to have interchangeable ducts or not. Drill 2 3/8" holes if you don't want interchangeable ducts, or 2 3/4" inch holes if you choose to go the interchangeable route.

Thanks guys, yep that clears up the dimensions.
At 1/4" is the port centred on the ply skin (so sticks out approx.1mm either side) or flush on the exterior projecting inside?
