Build Session #11 - Time .. about 2.5 hours .. Total time so far 32.5 hours

This night I was able to finish up all the rest of the panel 5's and the braces.

Oh man.. I really goofed up this day!

#1 .. I realized I placed panel 5 incorrectly. I lined up the 45 edge up with the wrong line. I didn't notice panel 6 was supposed to go below not butted up against it!

I just had to cut another 45 into panel 6 to get it to match up on the same horn path. Pain in the A$$. I ended up cutting it wrong the first time not accounting for all the angles.

I ended up just making a 1" tall jig with a 45 to get the correct measurements.

Ended up getting 3 of them cut including the panel 6 extension.

QUESTION: Do I need to attach another 1/2" strip at the other end of panel 5 to account for the goof up? I wouldn't think it would make a difference but hey.. what would I know.

#2 .. I cut my panel 6 in the wrong direction for the 18" version. I cut it on the long side, not the shorter side. Measure twice. Cut once.

#3 .. I cut those panels too wide!! I cut them 18" instead of 17". :chainsaw: Measure twice. Cut once.

After trimming those down to the correct size I quit for the day. My head just wasn't in the game I guess. Better to stop and regroup another day.

Don't feel bad, I almost did the same thing with my last pair of T39's.

Good move to pull up if it's not feeling good.
While it's hard work, it's also meant to be fun...

That sounds like some of my projects, can't win for loosing.
The older I get the more I realize it's better to just do something else than to forge ahead with the truck in reverse.
