Understood but if I am reading the plans correctly I can build a cab with 2 BP 102's in it (dual loaded)?

I would recommend no BP102s and use the 3010LF instead. I have one in my T24 and used the 150hz passive crossover from the plans. Works great.

Thanks. I have two more BP 102's that I am trying to use up once the Simplexx project is completed and am thinking I should throw them in a T24 that I have the plans for and then use both the Simplexx and T24 for my rig.

Well I am hoping to have my cabinets back this week and get speakers and jacks installed in time for rehearsal on Thursday. The lead guitarist (my best friend for 35+ years) and I spent the better part of a year putting together the right line-up of musicians. At our first live rehearsal last week I destroyed my old set of speakers presumably by overpowering them. They did fine during individual private practice but simply could not keep up in a full rehearsal. I did some digging around on the forum and came across threads referencing the Behringer UltraDrive DCX2496LE and driveracks so I have a million questions.

To begin with if these questions are answered in a thread please provide me with a link and I will read it and come back with more focused questions. So here goes:

• I am using BP102 8 ohm speakers http://www.usspeaker.com/eminence-legen ... aker-1.htm in my Simmplexx build simply because I had salvaged them from a Hartke re-speaker project. How many volts should I be pushing into these and how do I calculate that?

• How do I regulate the voltage going into them?

• Does the Ultradrive go between the amp and my pedal board or does it go between the amp and the speakers?

• How do I determine the wattage going from the amp to the speakers?

• What is the difference between a "driverack" and the Ultradrive?

• What else would the forum members recommend I learn about to run my rig with maximum efficiency while not destroying it?

If they distort turn it down. You don't need to do anything more than that. Driverack and the like are for PA.

Best advice anyone could give! Many sound technicians should relate to this once in a while!

Still waiting on wraps for the cabinets to be finished - it has been over six weeks now. The drummer brought his uncle's Carvin 215 bass cabinet for me to use at rehearsals. It is a totally different beast but it does intrigue me. I have found that it makes new harmonics leap out at me unlike any cabinet I have ever played before.

That's it from here for now until I get my 110's back and get them loaded..

Just got a message from the guy who is doing the cabinet wraps. The vinyl has been on back order and will arrive on Tuesday - Wednesday at the latest. As soon as it arrives he is placing everything else on hold to get the cabinets wrapped and out to me. Hoping to have them on Friday and get the speaker jacks, speakers, and hardware installed.

Well the cabinets are wrapped and I must say I think they look pretty good. Got hardware and speakers installed late last night and played for a bit before my very tolerant and destined for sainthood wife reminded me that sleep is a commodity. Initial impressions are that the sound is quite good but I fear one of the speakers may be damaged. Fortunately I have two other speakers that I can swap out with it to see it that helps. I will update after I do that. Other than that the sound is crystal clear and the Zoom B3n really springs to life.

Switched out the speaker with one of the others I had and problem solved. The speakers sat in my basement (finished basement) and were moved around periodically as we settled in to the new house. I guess I am not surprised it was damaged but I am grateful I had some back up speakers on hand. Monday is band rehearsal so we shall see how they keep up. presently I have them on top of an old road case to get them up to ear level.

You might want to plug a cable into the old cab, and then jumper the tip and the sleeve.

Thank you very much. The overall background design is based on a German freight rail car so some of those numbers are just lifted from tare weights etc. . . The rest of the numbers are from my life, birthdays, deaths, anniversaries, and the like.

Clip a jumper onto the tip of the cord, and the other end of the jumper clip onto the barrel/sleeve...if it uses 1/4" jacks. Doing this will short the circuit and prevent the drivers in the old cab from moving/resonating in sympathy with the notes that the Simplexx cabs are putting out.
