Should be all you need. 10V@20Hz will really show even the slightest of air leaks.El dillo wrote:Yes, as good as i could with a shorter piece of tube.
Please do the forum a small favor and fill out your location in the User Control Panel, located in the top right hand corner of every page.
Are you going for that glossy, piano black finish? I can only dream of being able to do a finish like that.

Some garage measurements...

No expert so i apreciate tips on how to do this right...
THTLP on saw horses 1,5m from walls - mic exact infront of mouth, Volts... don't remember (very low).
THTLP on saw horses 1,5m from walls - mic 1meter infront of mouth, Volts... don't remember (very low).
I also did some dB meter readings (not calibrated)
THTLP on saw horses 1,5m from walls - mic 1meter infront of mouth
@ 5 volts
50hz @ 95 dB
40hz @103,9 dB
30hz @ 99 dB
25hz @ 95,1 dB
20hz @ 93,4 dB
@ 17,3 volts (max output from amp)
40hz @ 113,9 dB
32hz @ 112,1 dB
Sweep 10-100hz peaked @ 117,4 db
will try to do some measurements in livingroom corner loaded later.

Measure with the subs on the floor, against the wall, and the mic an inch above the floor. You'll still have peaks and valleys, caused by room reflections.
Re: 36" THT Low Profile, Warning lots of coffin pictures
Ok, will try that instead.
Re: 36" THT Low Profile, Warning lots of coffin pictures
Against the wall, as in mouth facing the wall, standard use position? Then place the mic between the mouth and the wall?Bill Fitzmaurice wrote:Measure with the subs on the floor, against the wall, and the mic an inch above the floor. You'll still have peaks and valleys, caused by room reflections.

Only if that's your usual listening position.Rich4349 wrote: Then place the mic between the mouth and the wall?
If you're taking indoor measurements what matters is response at the listening position with the speakers placed where they give the best result.
