Pair of Titan 48 build
Pair of Titan 48 build
Finished up my T48's over the weekend. Thought I'd share my build with you all. I've built a pair of THTs, SLA PRO's and SLA PRO mini's but never took any pictures so this time I did.
Couple things I'd like to point out.
-This was my first time using the BB and I will not use anything else from here on out. It was that nice of wood to use. Only had to straighten out 2 panels the entire build
-Used a circular saw on all previous builds. Bought a table saw last year to help with finishing the basement in my new house. Can't even begin to tell you how much easier and nicer this build went compared to using the circular. all the angle cuts were a piece of cake.
-I have always seen people from time to time post here about building the access panels out of Plexiglas, well I did just that. I also built the standard access panels as well.
- Lastly how do they sound, well they definitely don't have the extension two THT's have when corner loaded in my basement thats for sure, lol BUT the THT's don't pound on you like the T48's do in the 40hz plus range and thats exactly why I wanted to build them. I need to fill a dance floor in a ballroom with a few hundred people with hard hitting bass. I think I'll be just fine now..
ok, enough chit chat, heres the build.

Re: Pair of Titan 48 build
And the T48's live!! I had to remove the Plexiglas access panels because of the reflections wouldn't show the speakers. I really like the clear access panels more than I thought I would. I have the normal panels made and Duratexed as well just in case my clear ones become cracked or something. In case someone is curious. I used 1/2" plexiglas. I'm not sure how much that would cost if you bought it somewhere because I snagged it from work. We use it to make guarding around the machines.

Re: Pair of Titan 48 build
I think he was cutting parts elsewhere and building them in the garage. Someplace is a mess and he is only showing us the nice garage
Definitely a nice build

Thanks guys and as for the saw dust, well unfortunately I'm a bit of a clean freak. After a few cuts, or the router I have to take the air hose and blow out the garage. haha
