Table Tuba Build
Re: Table Tuba Build
Thanks Mike, my HT has been in the making for years. My four surrounds and center channel have been with me since about 1998. I have drivers and tweeters coming for TLAHs and curved SLA.
If you looked close at the slip covers you'd be less impressed. They'll be going away when I finish the TTs.

How about a fridge (and contents) ?miked wrote:Very nice! I love your HT. It's so nice to have a dedicated space for HT. I did, when I was single...it was called "my living room." I had a projection screen, a projector, a 5.1 setup and a couch. That's it. What more do you need?
Re: Table Tuba Build
LOL! When I was single, my small apartment had the kitchen two steps away from the living room. The fridge and ice-cold beverages were "right there."
On a related note, my wife has said "I'm so glad there is no toilet in the garage. I would never see you!" She has no idea how correct she is.

Re: Table Tuba Build
Well, my TLAHs and curved SLA are about ready for lacquer. Since I plan to finish the table tubas at the same time I spent the day yesterday and a bit of this morning putting the veneer and trim on them. They will be finished all black with a satin topcoat. Here's how the trim and veneer turned out...

What he said.
If it's too loud, you're even older than me! Like me.

In preparation for the under garage home theater, I drug the table tubas out of storage and finally started prepping them for lacquer. Over 5 years later... not too bad, right??

Re: Table Tuba Build
Not too bad, my JVC 3x5's are still in boxes for my home theater build. I'd say you got me beat by at least 3 years on your build and I haven't even started yet.

Re: Table Tuba Build
Thanks! The funny part is the finish was the quickest step but took the longest. This time I just told myself... you're not allowed to even move those into that room until they're finished!!!!
