Comp Driver OT15

#1 Post by burnsze15 »

Can someone tell me how much space behind the comp horn array there is in an OT15? I’m looking at using already stocked B&C DE250s. It looks shallower than behind the OT12 just due to them being further from the center.

Thank You

Measure it on your sketchup model.

Ahh that’s an idea! Didn’t think of that.

Off topic but with the Eminence shortage, has anyone used the 18Sound 15MB700 driver in the OT15? It’s just shy in Qts by 0.01 on the low end, however the suspension for the Vas is within spec as well as the other parameters. It has a nice rising response and has very similar sensitivity and power capability as the 3015, however it is a Ferrite driver. I’m seriously considering it or another alternative if in a couple months they don’t have the 3015 back. This lack of supply in EVERYTHING is getting old!

Thanks Bill. Doing an 8cab build of the OT15. After all these years I’m finally doing it. Really looking forward to it

The 15MB 700 is OK, but not as good as the 3015. You may be able to find them in stock somewhere. Even if you can only find four for now that's a good start.
