ART SLA-2 1 rack space to power Omni12TB

#1 Post by djlivex »

Ok so I have been using my Omni 12 TB with an EV 7100 75 watt/channel amp for home practice DJ sets and house DJ gigs. Since the Pandemic I have done 3 gigs (Halloween,Christmas, Birthday) parties with this setup and its loud enough for home use. Theres a lot of oomph on the bottom, even at 50 Hz its enough to get the crowd dancing with just the 12" bass section of the Tb. So I was thinking of getting a little more power with this new ART SLA-2 amp 200 watts/channel. I have just been booked 2 x outdoor bday party in late March and April same venue its a hall with a big patio 30'x50' cement open air space which will be an outdoors dance and mingling area that I will provide Dj music for. Im thinking the ART would power the TB's better than the EV's. Thanks for your help.

For the same money, you can get a 215 watt per channel Crown XLS1002. While it's a 2 space unit, it weighs only 9 pounds, has xlr inputs, speakon outputs, and will definitely have a much better re-sale value should you decide to unload it.

More features, half the weight are the upside.....2 space vs. 1 is the downside.....as long as there is room in your rack - it's a no brainer.

6 - T39 3012LF
4 - OT12 2512
1 - T24
1 - SLA Pro
2 - XF210

Yes Bruce I see that I just finished a 6 space plywood diy rack with casters and I try to keep it as small as possible for the space in a small suv. I am building another rack for a 3 way for a Crown XLS 2502 as sub amp.

Just one O12TB, right? Are you just using one channel of the amp or are you bridging it?
