Before I soldered my DIY Cover for my Omni 12TB

#1 Post by djlivex »

Can someone check my work on my crossover boards I mounted them caps and coils on ply piece if they are correct bottom is from amp arrow components the out to driver. Before I solder these together, I seem to be confused on pics from schematics which I followed compared to the pics on the plans of 3 completed boards.
Doing the Tweeter ply x-over board as we speak but not soldered yet. Thanks

The woofer low-pass is fine, but after the 33uf cap on the high I'm lost on what you're trying to do.

Jimbo7 the mid 6.5" on the schematics show + left side - on the right side, now on positive lug from amp it shows 22uF in line with 33uF cap as shown on page 17 and 18 of the original Omni 12TB plans. Then look at the bottom page 18 positive now is on the right its confusing but I followed the way it shows on the schematics above where the 22uF and 33uF caps are in line then a .45mH coil then 5.6uF cap shunts +/- then goes to lug positive to + of the mid woofer. Obviously the - lug is for the - 6.5" mid woofer after the 5.60uF. Please look at the arrows from bottom of my ply board the direction of amp > crossover components > mid woofer. Did I do all these in reverse as you see the positive red is now on the other side of the mid crossover panel? Thanks guys!

This is the Tweeter Apt 80 crossover panel, I just position the caps and coil as per schematics drawing on the Omni 12TB plans. Thanks

As long as you add a wire from minus to minus, and solder the two loose ends of the inductors on the right, to that piece of wire, this one is good
Built:
DR 250: x 2 melded array, 2x CD horn, March 2012 plans.
T39's: 4 x 20" KL3010LF , 2 x 28" 3012LF.
WH8: x 6 with melded array wired series/parallel.
Bunter's Audio and Lighting "like"s would be most appreciated...

The bottom one is good

Look at the schematics again for the band pass filter, sort out the leads properly for the inductor up in the top left hand corner as per your pic, and post a new pic up once done...

Yes Grant I will be connecting a wire on that right side of the Tweeter board from bottom to up lugs. I am also waiting on 3 lug terminal so I can connect 3 positives and 3 negatives wire to Neutrik panel. Will post pics once soldered. Thank you again.
