OTop 12 J Array Front Grill + Foam

#1 Post by njkreger » Tue Oct 02, 2018 1:59 pm

Hi, with the OTop J Array, is the metal grill and air conditioner foam on the front necessary for a permanent INDOOR install? What are the benefits? Downsides?

Thanks!

It will definitely look better. Hard to dust all the inside panels and tweeters that you can see. Grill makes that easier.

Thanks, we'll still go ahead and do the grills/foam. Don't want to be dusting those suckers if I don't have to!

Question...we plan to use air conditioner foam on the backs of the grills to keep dust out. The plans call for gasket tape on the leading edge of the horns to prevent vibrations. Is that still necessary with the foam backing the grills?

Keep the grills from touching the horns if possible. If they do, the foam should be enough.
