Re: Fill My Shop
I can't swing the 8"er's right now so I PMed Leland to see what he has to build some nice TLAH's.
I also asked him for the stuff to put 2 T48's with 3015lf's.
Lets see what he comes up with

Re: Fill My Shop
Allright, getting a start.
I have the JBL 3x5's coming from PE.
I have the T48 kits coming from Leland.
I have a couple of people looking to see if they have any extra Tweeters to sell me.
Going to go out and look for plywood over the next few days.
Oh yea, I got my CD from Bill. Thanks, Bill.
Thanks, Michael.

Got the T48 kits from Leland.
Thanks, Leland.
Finally built some sealed cabinet 18's from over a year ago.
I used the PL. I haven't used it before but it went fine.
Still have to look at the T48 plans and figure out much plywood I need to buy to build a pair of them.
Also, still working on the tweeters. I have 2 members offering me some, Thanks guys.
Just gotta get them from them to me.
Will try and keep updating.

Thanks Leland
I'm building them 36" wide as per Bill's suggestion.
Still 3 sheets?

Re: Fill My Shop
Nope, probably 5. I was thinking the 24" width.

36" width T48's in your shop!MDW wrote:I'm building them 36" wide as per Bill's suggestion.
That would be something to hear. You should put your location in your profile in case anyone is near your area to get a listen to that when it's done.

Hey Leland
Do I need 5 sheets per T48 or will 5 do both?

Re: Fill My Shop
According to my cutlist software, 7 sheets. You can get it out of 6. The software doesn't use up the scrap very well.

4x8 stock:
3 sheets for all the panels (no braces), with a 48x42 piece leftover.
5x5 stock:
4 sheets for all the panels (no braces), with three 24x24 pieces leftover.
So looks like for both, you'll need at least 7 sheets of 4x8 panels, or 9 sheets of 5x5 panels.
