#1 Post by Vman000 »

Hi everyone newbie to builds, but designing a home theatre and decided let's go diy!!! Been reading through posts for the last week and am looking at building the SLA's...searching for drivers in oz that match the specs has not been easy so far but I'll keep searching unless someone has already found something in oz?! Either way the search will continue!! :)

G'day Vman
Welcome to the forum :)

Being in Melbourne, you have access to lots of the suppliers that carry what you need for builds here.

Maxi Ply in Lillydale has B/BB grade Birch ply. There's a couple of other carriers as well for price shopping.

Budget group in Huntingdale is the only source in Australia I can find for PL premium.

JD's Sound and Lighting sells some 15" ande drivers that will perhaps be useable in a THT.

Let us know if you find some drivers here in Australia please...
Built:
DR 250: x 2 melded array, 2x CD horn, March 2012 plans.
T39's: 4 x 20" KL3010LF , 2 x 28" 3012LF.
WH8: x 6 with melded array wired series/parallel.
Bunter's Audio and Lighting "like"s would be most appreciated...
