Hi, from the Netherlands

#1 Post by Siem »

Greetings from the ''Low Lands'',

After the ''sudden death'' of my Bass-amp I decided it was time to build my own.
Searching the Internet I became intrigued by the BFM speakers, so after reading trough the forums for days I decided to build myself a Jack 12 and ordered the plans, it was finished last week.
I have learned much building this cabinet, little mistakes I made a few but I agree the design is very forgiving although I'm seriously thinking of starting a new build for a another Jack 12.

At this moment I am using the 12 inch (Eminence) speaker from my old DB 500 Roland Bass-amp in the Jack 12, I know this is not the correct speaker (I did read the manual) but it will have to do for a month or so. (I'm playing only at home)
I can't wait to replace that speaker, but the Jack already sounds so much better than the Roland (I am now using a MAG 300 Head from Ashdown)

Next step will be to build my own Amp, at this moment Im working on a Alembic F2-B Preamp clone.

Many thanks to all people on this forum who (I feel) made it possible to build this Jack.

Everybody likes pictures, so I dit attache a few.

I'm very sorry for my late reply, I was with my head to much in my Tube amp.

I ordered the Piezo's from Leland. (Sad thing is that Customs in the Netherlands did hold on to them for about 3 weeks)

Groet, Siem
