Hi and welcome to the forum
Like any design, be it folded horn, tapped horn, direct radiator, whatever, the driver in your sub should have TS specs (Thiele Small specifications).
These TS specs are inputed at the design stage, so that unsuitable drivers aren't used, or the the design allows the use of a given driver.
It's not as simple as just making up a box.
So, you need to give us more details!
More often than not, drivers other than the ones clearly specified in the plans may work (or may not), but not as well as the drivers specified in the plans.
Other drivers may simply self destruct with the extra pressures imposed upon them when placed in a folded horn...

Built:
DR 250: x 2 melded array, 2x CD horn, March 2012 plans.
T39's: 4 x 20" KL3010LF , 2 x 28" 3012LF.
WH8: x 6 with melded array wired series/parallel.
Bunter's Audio and Lighting "like"s would be most appreciated...
