Yeah but the amount of mouth area you can stuff into a 4dr saloon doesn't acknowledge driver output.

One 3015LF loaded cab will be roughly as loud as two BP102 loaded cabs of the same size.
Instead of hauling 4 13" wide cabs he could haul 2 18" wide cabs and get MORE output.

I want to see a pic of two 18" wide T48 on a back seat. I'm only guessing but I reckon around 18" is about where the wriggle room is going to get critical. OP would indeed do well to make the cardboard mockups.

Here is a graph of an 18" 3015 T48. Nice output up to 50 hz, but hang onto your hats because then it starts to take off and then hold fairly steady from 70 to 100hz!

Why would he want to build T48s with BP102s in them??
Yes an 18" wide box is bigger than a 13" wide one but I can't see any reasonable scenario where you can fit TWO 13" wide boxes but not ONE 18" wide.
Drop the BP102 loaded T48! It is not the right driver in this design!

I'm thinking it might be possible to wriggle four slim cabs into a car whereas 20" might be the biggest single he can get in. 4 v plated would go pretty low too. BP102 worked before, they still work even if there are now better drivers for the T48 design.

He's not going to get T30 on the back seat either. I just think it's worth an educated answer if it gets the required response without having to upgrade vehicle. The answer is out there!

If you're Completely and Utterly dead set on building the slimmest t48's (not that I would personally do that anymore), you could get a hold of some hl-10c(IIRC djphatman has some for sale and they're still around the net but have been discontinued). They're like the kappa version of the 10" sub drivers. Other than that, just use the 3012lf for the slimmets cab( remember, the other driver that IS recommended?).

IMO, a t48 with a bp102 is just a pretty stupid waste of pack space, time, money, and effort for the return you get. it'd be like using the s2010 in the t36 and limiting it to 10 volts and wanting to build eight of them because they're "portable"

OR you could get a $2000 van or minivan or truck and be done with it....

I couldn't still check if my car can fit two T48 on the back.
The problem, I repeat, is not the "wide" but the "height".
So if i will go for the T48 I will build 24 wide subs...no compromises!
about the DR200...I checked some user pages with many pics about building DR200/DR250 and..I realized that they are not for me! :wall:
It's not about being able to made that...it's about the time I would need!
I will go for a couple of OT12 or OT15 (ok I can't stack them in J-Array but it's ok; maybe in the future when I will have time I will build a couple of DR250).
Now I have just to understand wich OT would be better with big subs like T39 or T48 or T30 (the lastone not so big) because i checked that OT15 are enough powerfull to works without subs (and this would be really nice for small events/partys that sometimes I do)!

ps...here a link to the project of my actual W sub (that I built 8 year ago).
http://www.ciare.com/pdf/Progetti/MyPro ... r/bt02.pdf
as you can see,the T30 is stronger compared to my "cumbersome" sub (the dimensions are not in inchs but in cms) W sub; the T48 compared to it...is something......HUGE ehehehehehha!

ok decision made about subs! today I checked the T48 real dimension..and they're too huge for my car!
Tuba 30 is still uncofortable to transport compared to the T39 because the T30 it's too cubic.Instead I can lay down a couple of T39 on the back of my car perfectly!
ok T39 don't go low as the tuba30 between 25 / 35 Hz but it's something I can stand!
so for the subs I will go with a couple of T39 20" wide with the Eminence 3012LF driver!
I think they will be LOUD and perfect for my car!!

the only big doubt is now about the Tops because I would want build a couple of OT15 to bring them with me in small events when I don't need subs, but I will use passive crossover (i don't want BI-amp them) on the OT15 so that will be a problem when they will works with subs (because they go too low, not so low like all the bill subs, but still low). I will crossover subs by an active crossover but this will not fix my problem because i shold be able to change the OT15 crossover when they will works with the T39s but I can't using passive crossover on the Tops! Am I paranoic or what ??? :wall:

T39 "loud" need to be high passed at 45Hz from memory. Or else the drivers will cook.

They are hell loud above 45Hz though and will demolish poorly built buildings so a big step up from your current subs. :loler:

How about bringing a single sub to your small events and making it easier on yourself overall with OT12? When you get to do bigger shows it'll be a lot easier stacking them up.

damn 45Hz ?? but T48 need highpass too??
your idea is good about bring just one sub fot small events...but with two T39 i would have to build at least 2 couple of OT12 for a total of 4 units!
I don't want use more my actual shit full range db technologies monitors!

I was going to go two of the slimmest 3015 loaded T48s at 18". Soon after realized that my 36" pack space was actually more like 34 inches because of the curve of the top of the cargo area in the Tahoe.

So I went with two 13" T39s. I really wish I had gone wider, not because of the response (these cabs are amazing) but because I ran into a bunch of minor issues along the way. One being the limited space you have to screw in the driver - or even get them into the cab. There's a tiny strip of wood that allows you to attach the door... I'm just not a huge fan of that.

Another is the handle and jack plate are really close to each other, since I had to center a single handle instead of having two spaced evenly.

Last is that the wheels had to be positioned only an inch away from the edge of the cab... so I had to cut my nice shiny stacking corners.

Now, I've read from multiple folks here that a single T48 with a 3015LF will blow you (and my two BP102s) away. But if I were you, I'd determine your maximum pack space for some T39s and go with two of them loaded with 3012LF.

Me? I'm finishing up my OT12s, then throwing together a 24" T48. No idea how I'll get it anywhere, but I'm building that sucker.

Good one, bzb! In that case you might as well build it at 32.5" since this will get the most out of the driver with minimal waste of plywood.

Kinda reminds me of myself. I only need extension below 40hz about 5-10% of the time, yet is still want to upgrade my whole system later on to t48's or t36's :noob:

Not to mention I still need to start on my table tuba which will probably later get replaced with the THT, as well.
