Thanks, Bill. So the more tweeters firing, the less vertical dispersion?
I'm thinking about building a 20" T-39 next, which would raise the top cab, but maybe I'll first get one of Leland's kickback support legs to angle the top cab upward.

They'll probably sound better that way. Vertical dispersion with both HF arrays active would run around 5 degrees. You may find only half an array in the top cab will give the best result.
Would the design of a J210 have a J110 sized piezo array positioned just in the middle or only over the top driver then?

Over the top driver, to hear it better close to the cab.

The 210 plans state regarding a melded array:
"24 tweeters are used, for an array height just under 26 inches"

They also state
"A flat array is easier to construct and costs less. Beyond 30 feet or so the wider dispersion of a melded array is of no advantage, so a flat array makes sense for all but the lower cab in a stack. The easiest build uses 4 tweeters. A six tweeter flat array (twelve in a 210) has higher sensitivity, flatter response and better cab to cab integration in stacks".

Now I am really confused. I play bass, so and would really prefer to build a 210 from the get-go as it uses less materials and less time than making two J10's. Which tweeter method do I use?

By george, the directions may have answered my question!
"electric bass doesn’t need the high frequency sensitivity of PA. Both these concerns are addressed by using only four tweeters in a melded array, or two in a flat array (eight and four respectively in a 2x10 if you use tweeters)."

So four piezo tweets in a flat array may be easiest for me to build, and I mount them over the top driver, correct?
