Was coming out of Menards yesterday and noticed all their hunting blinds and such out front and had an interesting thought. They had 16' high tripod stands with a platform, seat and railing that, minus the seat, could make a pretty cool way to get a stack of DR or Otops way up high. Three big stakes to firmly anchor the legs and it should be pretty sturdy. Not that I need such a thing, but I know there have been posts about getting speakers up high for festival events and such, so I thought I'd toss the idea out there. I think they were about $200 each.
By the way, I am working on building some pro-looking (I hope) non-tripod speaker stands that will get bottoms of my Otop stacks up about 5' so they will play over heads. I'll post pics once I get them done.

Oh good grief...
"As I was walking out of a local home improvement store..."
I still think a couple stacks of Otops 16' in the air would be pretty cool, and avoid the issue of trying to fly them.

Re: high outdoor speaker stands
The most I've found are 4 metres as I was searching around, and these have a built in handle winch.

They do get progressively far more expensive compared to my Gorilla stands and my JAM stands that I preferred but managed to lose them (how!?).
I wonder what this guy's using for stands. If they are on the floor that looks to be about 3 metres, and can support double-Omnitop 12 cabs and tilt mounts.

Double Omnitops are a bit much for my Gorilla stands....
