Inexpensive Effective Lightweight Track Saw Table

A few months ago I purchased a trak saw for my building business and of course to help me build speakers. It quickly became evident that I needed some kind of table to support the work and that would provide clearance for the cut through on the trak saw blade. I wanted something more sturdy than a couple of 2x4s on sawhorses. We took a couple of hollow core doors out of a remodel project and I glued on scrap strips of 1 by material to one face of the door in a crosswise pattern. This door is 30 inches by 80 inches, a little smaller than the first table I built with a 36 inch door. This would not cost much to build even if you had to buy the door and the trim material. The other table I built has been used a lot and is not even close to needing some new trim on the top. When it does I will just glue on more strips. And lastly, the great thing about this table is that it gets lighter every time I use it.
