Nice! Yes, the BP102 goes up only till 2kHz, so lacking highs, but it can be solved!
2 J10 in such big room, without P.A. and they were enough, that's nice!

Re: Rig debut
It's fun to finally get the rig in a big room isn't it? I really like the XR18 for a small gig. So much better than anything else in the price range. Just an amazing about of power and flexibility. And not having to deal with a snake save so much setup time. I've also used the Presonus RM16AI which is also very good. But at half the price, I will stick with the XR18 even if it has the "B" name.
Lead guitarist and their amps will drive a sound guy to drink! What I usually do is tell them that the amp needs to be set on "2". Then make sure they have plenty of sound in the monitor mix. One trick I use is to set the compressor threshold just above their highest level during the sound check. Then I can easily go back and see if they are at the same level of much louder. All musicians tend to play louder during the performance. But if they are up 6dB I know that they are probably not on "2" anymore.

Re: Rig debut
Yep, even though I'm a newbie sound man, I've watched others on the old tech enough to appreciate what the XR18 brings to the party. There's one song our band plays that has our singer really belting it out at the end; on the old rig it always resulted in clipping the channel, with a horrible distorted mess spewing out of the monitors. (She's young, and yes, she probably could improve on her mic technique...) Painful, literally and figuratively. Every time that happened I silently wished for compression on the vocal channels. Now I have it!

Re: Rig debut
My brother-in-law runs an XR18 and I got to learn a little on it a couple weeks ago.
He made a neat little addition, though:
Added a tiny Bluetooth audio adapter to it behind one of the rack ears.
He can stream a track to it from his phone WHILE mixing on it from his phone.
Pretty slick.

Yep, I have mine set up similarly, using the audio out from my Airport Express. And AirPlay has much more range than Bluetooth.

A compliment if ever there was one. And part of the reason why I love my Fitzmo PA.ctmullins wrote:One guy likened it to "a huge stereo", a description that I've read here on the forum but never experienced firsthand.
