If I did a review it may be a bit biased as I built the rig but here are some comments I found that some DJ's posted. We had a EDM show last night with some out of town touring DJ's and found this on one of the DJ's facebook posts this morning:
They usually play on PK sound, Funktion1, etc systems, haha. Funny thing is that we have 2 PK sound rigs in the back room that we store for other promoters. Build some horns and you'll never use them again.
Our set up last night, 6 DR-250's and 2 dual lab12 T60's:
The tops are power shaded and a slight delay to time delay to the subs out front in middle of dancefloor. Monitors (only 2 this time) had a polarity flip to phase align to the subs and other tops at x-over frequency, no delay on monitors as that screws up the performers. I measured about 105 dBA on the first 1/3rd of the dancefloor, ~130 dBC right close to the subs. Monitors could hit 120 dBA at the mix position if you wanted to but the DJ's kept them fairly reasonable.
Every show is nothing but compliments on the sound .

Re: Unbiased DR250 @ T60 review
That is a great looking system, I can only imagine the sound. I get the same kind of compliments everywhere I use my system, regardless of if it's for bands or DJs. KUDOS TO YOU!!
I am assuming this rig is a semi-permanent install. I would like to go 2 DR250's a side like this but I need to design some sort of very sturdy and portable stand system that can mount 2 a side or as many as four. I like your stands..very cool looking but not pack friendly or portable. I won't use scaffolding, takes up too much area, and not use speaker stands with more than 1 per side. Sure would be nice if the same stand design could be used outside on uneven ground, which negates the rollable smaller scaffolding.
The idea is to be able to expand the system without having to get a trailer for the scaffolding....not yet anyway.

Yes, it may get pushed around or reconfigured once in awhile but it never leaves the club. The stands weigh ~350lbs, I have to take the top 2 speakers off and then it is still a 2 man chore to take the remaining base off the stage. Works good for us as they are ridiculously sturdy and impossible to tip but not so much if you ever need to move them.heavybdrums wrote:I am assuming this rig is a semi-permanent install.
Just another photo of the rig under some event lighting, makes a big difference for aesthetics:
