my home theatre

#1 Post by ketoet »

hello
here are some pic's of my livingroom where i have my system set up.
there is still one table tuba under construction .
what i do have: tlah's for L and R , curved sla for center,
surrounds are 2 4" fullrange drivers firing at the wall.
and 1 soon to be 2 table tuba's long style in the corners.
the subs are being powered with a pa amp for now but
i am looking for a solution for that.
how does it sound? even better than i had hoped for
it really is better than going to the cinema. i always have
the best seat in the house. i can crank it up to crazy db levels
without any audible ( at least to my ears) distortion.
even with the one TT i get VERY realistic explosion and rumble.
it really shakes the house. even my girlfriend is impressed with the system
and that not easy done. i can really enjoy my netflix account now.
if there are people that are doubting to build one of these designs i can really recommend them.
you won't be disapointed.
i you have any question feel free to ask.

Furniture and electronics before paint.

That's a real mancave.

Hello
Never tried the surrounds in a different position. Don't think it would change much.
There's no paint for now. Next year we're adding an extension to the house and when that's done the painter can do his business.
The tlah's end sla were made with the kits from speakerhardware.com . wanted to be sure i had the correct items.
