Re: T48 impressions
anomalous, thanks for your answers!
I do agree that CNC´d parts for the T48 is a bit of overkill, and it was actually quite a lot of time in the waterjet, wouldnt have liked to pay for it I´ll see if I can find some pics from our build, I belive I have some somewhere that shows how we could build the horn in three major sections, two panels and three braces each, let them cure for a day and then snap them together on one sidepanel, since there is a series of square holes and matching "taps" cutted in all the parts, glue, a few staples with a staplegun and then slap on the other side, which togehter with the top bottom and back squared up the cab. It was something like 12-14 man hours on the second build, excluding the cnc part.
For the next ones I´m not sure how I´m gonna do it, I have acces to both the waterjet, and a really good benchsaw and a well, a fully fitted woodshop:P
The way I did mine did use some more ply, partly because we used 1200x2400mm sheets, didnt see that in time , we used about 5.5 sheets of auruco for 2 800mm wide T48s so.
I´m thinking of building the next ones in BB, or atleast the outer shell in BB, and thinking about a way to maybe just cnc all the braces, maybe use the "uni-brace" idea I´ve seen here somewhere..
I understand what you mean about understanding the design better when Cad´ing it from scratch! Did you measure in the sketchup model? You also draw in millimeter I guess? Did you round of much? Not much point in drawing stuff down to 0.1mm maybe
Would really love to see a pic of yours V-plated! Did you do something nice with the V-plate as well? Are you gonna build a second pair?

Re: T48 impressions
Sweet looking cabs anomalous! I'm well interested in your judgement of the T48's being a different magnitude to the T39's, I'll have to tee up a listening session one day.
