I built my son a tall AutoTuba, 24" wide dual 8" MCM recommended drivers (because he wanted dual drivers). I gave it to him the day before I left for China so I haven't heard it cranked up yet. It is in the back of his Jeep Wrangler. He email me and said it was awesome.
This email response is from mom:
"Yeah - joseph told me about the speaker thing. Now he takes the car down by the golf course if he wants to play music in the evening. He said the guy [neighbor] was nice but said that he [my kid] was waking his kids up with the shaking of the house from the speaker thing."
Neighbor compliments to another BF design!
Note mom's techical reference "speaker thing"....she has a PhD in EE.

For whatever reason women seem to add the word 'thing' to any object. A 'speaker' is a 'speaker thing', a saw is a 'saw thing', a screwdriver is a 'screwdriver thing', etc. I guess it's a 'gender thing'.TimeWarp wrote: Note mom's techical reference "speaker thing"....she has a PhD in EE.

thing that which is outside of a female's domain and she wants it to remain so. I can imagine an early cave dwelling mum "Ug Jr! Stop waving that spear thing in here"Bill Fitzmaurice wrote:For whatever reason women seem to add the word 'thing' to any object. We can use it too! "I like what you did with the sponge thing honey", or sewing thing, vacuum thing, etc. stc.Bill Fitzmaurice wrote:For whatever reason women seem to add the word 'thing' to any object.
