There was no drinking at the bar (Christmas and all)

They ban the sale of alcohol on Christmas from 11:59 the eve of, until 7am the next day. This includes serving. I do believe this is state-ran, and varies state-to-state.

Now that I think of it, the venue only has a juice bar - no liquor license.

Waiting on a callback, they might rent the tht's for tomorrow. Easy money, as everything's still setup.

Wow, do the do that for New Year too? There would riots here i reckon. :)

hope you get your rental! I've got a couple of boring bands to do tonight for new year. :( can't be bothered. Ah well. Work is work I suppose.
I've got more regular club night work lined up for next year, I'm itching for the change and a bit of a break from live bands. (and being able to let rip with the t60s) :)

Worked the same bar on new years, left the tht's there for a week.

They have their temp. liquor license. The owners are cool guys - free drinks all night for the soundguy.

I re-arranged the rig, three subs on each side of the dancefloor. A lot more even coverage on the floor, less upfront this time. Sounded great - so good infact, the subs might just be sold to the venue.

The house sound guy is also buying my PL2.0's off me. 2011 is a rebuilding year for my company. son as all my personal debit is paid - shit's going to change in Detroit.

Mochipet lastnight:

Same deal as before, laid the tht's on there sides and stack them three a side, like a platform. The go-go girls (wich are hired?) like it.

Opened up the limiters a bit and up the cutoff to 35Hz when Mochipet went on. I spent most of his set in the VIP room, it was way to packed and loud in the room.

Pictures when they get posted! new ones feb. 26th - I cant wait!

Lock and key or a gorilla standing over it beats hope. Can you flip the limiter around inside your rack, at very least?

Wow a lot has changed, I wonder if the 2THT's in Chicago ever got hooked up, and what the fellow in Alabama did with his.

The dubstep crews locally have switch to another couple of companies. Can't say I can complain. I don't mind dubstep, but 6+ hours of it till 4am is kind of annoying, esp. for a techno head. The boxes they use, sans the 4 servodrives that are around town are good to all of 40Hz: if that.

-Loved the sound of the THTs, esp when ran with the t39's. But I never felt like I got paid enough to haul that much around. Right now the T39's are working for me, being much easier to deploy and it all fits in a minivan.

Kevin Saunderson played on those THT's before that club was shut down. THAT was a good day for me. The dubstep (18+) show's got that club shutdown, as they got caught serving to minors. Glad I got payed before it got busted.
